It’s a very short game (I beat it in about 5 hours) but it is definitely one that should be played. The controls take a little getting used to, but once you learn to block and evade while throwing combos and trying for that super sweet 1-shot issen then the combat becomes incredibly satisfying.

Fighting lots of enemies is encouraged, you will occasionally need to have obtained a certain level to progress. It runs on the same engine as Resident Evil, but instead of being a survival/horror game, it is much more action orinted and melee weapons are the standard fighting fare (although there are some ranged). It’s set during fuedal Japan and blends both actual history and the supernatural. This is the first entry in the Onimusha series.
